Antonio Cusano – Owner and Lead Instructor

Antonio Cusano (Tony) is retired from the Connecticut Department of Correction and served in several key positions during his career such as; Lieutenant, Training Manager, Range Master and District Tactical Operations Commander. Tony was also a certified P.O.S.T.C Firearms Instructor during his time in State services. After retirement, Tony continued in public service as a Contract Security Supervisor, Firearms and Security Instructor with the Federal Department of Homeland Security Federal Protection Service Division. Tony is currently an active certified National Rifle Association Law Enforcement and Civilian Firearms Instructor, a Connecticut State Police Licensed Instructor for the Connecticut Security Officers course (Guard Card), the Connecticut Armed Security Officer course (Blue Card) and Basic Pistol Safety Course.  He is also an American Red Cross certified CPR, First Aid and AED instructor, as wells as Expandable Baton, OC and Handcuffing Instructor.

Josephine Cusano-Strout – Instructor

Josephine Cusano-Strout (Josie) is the eldest daughter of TC Training Discipline’s owner, Tony. From a young age she learned the fundamentals and safe handling of firearms under the guidance of her father. Her career as an educator and her passion for firearms is what lead Josie to obtaining her NRA Firearms Instructor Certification. She co-instructs the Basic Pistol Safety Course along side Tony and her husband Dan. Understanding that this profession is predominantly male and can be intimidating to some, she provides a positive and encouraging environment where female students can feel comfortable and empowered .

Daniel Strout – Instructor

Daniel Strout (Dan) is the son-in-law of TC Training Discipline’s owner, Tony. As a certified NRA Firearms Instructor, Dan co-instructs the Basic Pistol Safety Course alongside Tony and Josie. He brings a wealth of knowledge and passion with him to each class and enjoys working hands on with students and empowering them to succeed in their range qualifications.

William Marchand – Instructor

William Marchand (Bill) is retired from the Connecticut State Police. He joins us to instruct Basic Pistol safety course, Guard Card, Blue Card and is certified for Basic Pistol Safety Class instructor through the Connecticut State Police Training Academy. He is also an American Red Cross certified CPR, First Aid and AED instructor. Bill is also the Owner and Lead Instructor of his own training company, Marchand Armaments LLC. Bill is also a FFL dealer and can provide an array of information when shopping and purchasing a firearm.

 Bill unexpectedly passed away in November of 2022. Bill was a true Gentlemen, Friend and Outstanding Mentor. He will truly be missed. May you enjoy your eternal rest. We got the class from here Instructor.
